Colombo Airport to Negambo

Most populous city in Sri Lanka; drive there. The ruins of the Dutch Fort from the 17th century today shelter a prison close to the river. Fishermen's cottages flank the Negombo Lagoon, which feeds into the Hamilton Canal built during the Dutch era. The canal leads to Colombo in the south.

Negambo to Pinnawala & Sigiriya

  1. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - At Pinnawala village, there is an orphanage, nursery, and breeding facility for wild Asian elephants. The world's largest herd of elephants kept as pets is located at Pinnawala.
  2. Sigiriya"Lion Rock" - The historic rock stronghold of Sigiriya or Sinhagiri exists. The name alludes to a location with historical and archaeological value that is dominated by a large rock column that rises close to 200 meters in height.

Visit Polonnaruwa City

  • Visit Polannaruwa City - Polonnaruwa is the district's capital in Sri Lanka's north central region. The historic royal capital of the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa, Polonnaruwa, is still standing today.
  • Visit Minneriya National Park - The Minneriya area was first classified as a wildlife sanctuary in 1938 and became a national park on August 12, 1997. The catchment of the Minneriya tank and the local wildlife are the main reasons the area was designated as protected. Due to King Mahasen's construction of the tank in the third century AD, it is significant historically. For the elephant population that lives in the forests of the Matale, Polonnaruwa, and Trincomalee districts, the park serves as a feeding place during the dry season.

Drive to Kandy

  • Visit the Dambulla cave on the route to Knady - The Dambulla cave temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, is a Sri Lankan World Heritage Site. The largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka is at Dambulla.
  • Nalanda Gedige - Is a whole stone from antiquity. The structure was built using dravidian architecture between the eighth and tenth centuries, and it is thought that Buddhists used it.
  • Matale spice garden - See the many different kinds of spices that Sri Lanka is renowned for by visiting a spice garden in Matale.
  • Matale Hindu Temple - Pearl is the literal meaning of the prefix "Muthu." Both "Mari" and "Amman" refer to mothers. The goddess of rain and fertility, Mariamman, is honored in this shrine.

  • Temple of the Tooth - The sacred tooth relic of the Buddha is housed in Sri Dalada Maligawa, a Buddhist monastery that is part of the complex housing the erstwhile Kingdom of Kandy's royal palace.
  • Kandy lake - The artificial lake known as Kandy Lake, often referred to as Kiri Muhuda or the Sea of Milk, was created near to the Temple of the Tooth in 1807 by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe. Its size was diminished over time. Fishing is prohibited because it is a protected lake.
  • Kandy view point - It is an incredibly beautiful location that offers a great vantage point view of the gorgeous city.
  • National Museum of Kandy - It is situated in a section of the old Royal Palace of Kandy, close to the Temple of the Tooth. The Palle Vahala building, which formerly housed the King's harem, is where the main exhibits are kept. The main palace building houses a secondary exhibition.
  • Visit the Kandy Batik Factory - A fantastic way to learn about this difficult process is to go to a Kandy batik factory.
  • Attend to the cultural Show in Kandy - Visitors to the historical city of Kandy must watch the captivating Kandy Lake Club Cultural Dance Show, which showcases Sri Lankan arts, dance, and cultural heritage. In order to create a cultural dance event that included all Sri Lankan dance styles on one stage, the Kandy Lake Club Dance was founded in 1982.

Drive to Nuwara Eli

  • Ramboda falls - It is the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and ranks 729th in the world in terms of height at 109 m (358 ft). The falls are located 945 meters (3,100 feet) above sea level.
  • Tea Plantation - The world's fourth-largest producer of tea is Sri Lanka. The country's central highlands offer an environment that is favorable for the cultivation of high-quality tea because of the humidity, low temperatures, and rainfall they experience. James Taylor, a British planter who came to the region in 1852, brought the industry there in 1867. Since the 1970s, smallholder tea farming has gained popularity.
  • Seeta amman temple - This place is believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by (Vikram) king Ravana, and where she prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her in the Hindu epic,Ramayana.On the rock face across the stream are circular depressions said to be the footprints of Lord Hanuman.
  • Victoria park in Nuwaraeliya - The park was initially the Hakgala Botanical Garden's study area. In 1897, the park received its official name in honor of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.
  • Gregory Lake - Lake Gregory was constructed during the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873. The lake and the surrounding area make up the Gregory Lake Area.

After having breakfast we travel to Horton plains.After visit horton plains we drives to
Nanuoya Railway station to get a Sri lanka Train experience from Nanuoya to
Ella. In Ella we can visit Nine arch bridge & Little adam’s peak as optional.

  • Drive to Horton plains - The Park is covered by grassland and cloud forest. This plateau at an altitude of 2,100–2,300 metres is rich in biodiversity and many species found here are endemic to the region. The sheer precipice of World's End and Baker's Falls are among the tourist attractions of the park.
  • Nine arch bridge - The Bridge in the Sky is another name for the Nine Arch Bridge. One of the nation's outstanding examples of railroad construction from the colonial era is this one. The bridge's construction is typically credited to a local Ceylonese builder named P. K. Appuhami, who worked alongside British engineers.
  • Little adam’s peak - Little Adam’s Peak is the perfect trek, especially for an unforgettable sunset.

  • Ravana Ella Cave - The famous Ravana Ella Cave lies 1,370 m (4,490 ft) above sea level on the foundation of a cliff.

The shallow waters opposite Hikkaduwa Beach shelter the Hikkaduwa National Park, which is a coral sanctuary and home to marine turtles and exotic fish.
